The Greatest War

When our world is so shattered and broken
And our minds are so full of greed and hate
Protests die on our lips, gone unspoken
As we wonder if it’s become too late
Plastic takes the place of fish in the sea
Pollution paints the evening sky with gray
Each moment, they cut down another tree
The Point of No Return nears every day
I’m not sure how to convey this message
I don’t know when you will wake up and see
Resources we’ve told ourselves are endless
Are not as endless as they used to be
Take up this battle challenge, I implore,
Our lives depend on this, the greatest war.
