The months of April and May are usually filled with excitement, anxiety, stress, and a gradual sense of relief. As SATs/PSATs, AP Tests, and Finals Week all come and go grades are finalized and the school year generally wraps up. As we enter into the final month of the school year, here are some important dates regarding AP testing, senior’s last day, and final grades to keep in mind.

AP Tests will be occurring all throughout the first three weeks of May, starting with AP Chem and wrapping up with AP Music Theory. Here is a list of all AP tests happening at Green Mountain High School (source AP CollegeBoard).

The last day of school for seniors is May 13, 2022. It is mandatory for seniors to attend. The schedule is below.

8:00-10:00am – Senior check out forms, coffee, yearbooks and cap decorating

10:00-11:00am – cords ceremony

11:00am-12:00pm – senior BBQ

12:00-2:00pm – graduation rehearsal

2:15-3:00pm – changing of seats assembly (all classes sit in designated parts of the auditorium, freshmen then move to sophomore seats, sophomores move to juniors seat, juniors move to seniors seats)

Finals week for Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will take place in the third week of May, and the last week of school is May 27th, 2022.

Tips for studying include eating a full breakfast, getting a full night sleep, doing practice tests beforehand and seeking out teachers or NHS tutors (form is on class google classroom).
